While in Kennett shopping at Woodlands, you need to stop for some food and drinks. We decided to try something new and check out the Creamery. What we didn’t realize was that it was Kennet’s prom night and it would be flooded with so many taking prom pictures! But it did make for great people watching lol.
Ambiance/Atmosphere: The Creamery give beer hall with outdoor food hall vibes. It’s open, with plenty of seating inside and outside. The main room is where the main bar is and where you order food. One way is towards the section that looks almost wedding venue esq, with a great back drop and seating (hence the prom pictures). This is also where they have their live music. The other side is more open, with outdoor bars, slushie station and food trucks (which were not open, as it wasn’t the weekend lol). The staff are great and help you out if you are not familiar with how they operate.

Drinks: You can keep a tab open, but you do need to go to the bar for drinks. They ID before you enter, which makes it easier to order through your time being there. They have a large variety of draft beers, cocktails as well as canned drinks as well. They have slushie bar open outside. I opted to order their margarita on tap. It was fresh ingredients, smooth and strong all at the same time. It was the perfect drink to have outside while people watching!

Menu: It was a pack day of disc golf and mushroom shopping in Kennet – so I was hungry and ready for food. Started off with a flatbread, exotic mushrooms. It had a mushroom variety, caramelized onions, pesto, garlic, ricotta, and fontina. The cheese blend was the perfect creamy pairing with the pesto sauce and the mushrooms. The flatbread itself was a perfect thin, crispy crust. This would definitely be a reorder. I think any of their flatbread varieties would be delicious. To finish out the day, we ordered the smash burgers with all the works on top. I couldn’t decide on sides, so one came with fries, the other with chips. Both were delicious and I would order again. The chips were house made, and crispy. But the fries were the best balance of salty and crunchy (but not too crunch). The smash burger gets a 9/10. Again, fresh ingredients, that paired so well together. The bacon was the best topping to add and of course more mushrooms. I do think a plain burger with cheese would be just as good. Their food did surprise me because I wasn’t expected it to be good and so close to the farm to table feel of freshness! Check out their full menu here.

Tips/Recommendations: This is a must try spot! Check out hours and events prior to plan accordingly. They were packed for prom pictures, I imagine the weekend is busy as well. If you want to try the slushies or ice cream truck, then you need to come on the weekends – check their hours first. I do want to come back and try both!!! I also want to try more of their menu because it was so good! I recommend both the flatbreads or smash burgers. And as always, try something new every time you go!
