Victory Brewing (Downingtown, PA)

Disc golf season means you either fuel up with coffee before, or you celebrate with beer after – right? This time around we went to Victory in Downingtown!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This is the first time I have been to this location, and it is great. There is large bar and seating area inside, with a private room for event and full outside patio! We sat at the bar which was great, especially because a Phillies game was on as well. It was a relaxed bar vibe. Though it was busy, it didn’t take away from a great afternoon vibe.

Drinks: I have had several of their beers, and the sour monkey is one of my favorite. But that is 9.5%, so I wanted to go with something not as strong lol. They had a seasonal wheat shandy, Peach pier. It was peach forward but not overpowering at all. It was smooth, refreshing and almost punch like. A bit too easy to drink LOL. I would order this again 9/10!

Menu: It was an in between lunch-dinner time, but if you know me, I need snacks with drinks LOL. We decided to try their fish tacos and an order of the fried pickles. The tacos came with a side, and French fries were chosen so they can get a true judgement! Fried pickles were bomb, 8/10 and I would order them again. They were perfectly crispy. Normally I prefer the spears over the chips, but the breading was light, crispy and you could still taste the pickle! The fries were also delicious, 8.5/10. They had malt vinegar which just raise the bar even more! The tacos were also good. Not the best I have had, but the flavors created a great bite. The fish wasn’t over battered either. They get a 7.5/10.

Tips/Recommendation: This location (the original) is worth a visit! Come during happy hour to give it a try or any of the days where they have specials! Fried pickles and fries are a must order! This is also a great place to stop for the warm weather days. And as always, try something new every time you go!
