St. Boniface (Ephrata, PA)

More new spots and more birthday celebrations – this time around was for Mom’s birthday. She decided she wanted to go to St. Boniface. I have been here a few times with my parents, but it was nicer weather when you can sit outside. I was ready to for the inside bar experience.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: They have a pub style atmosphere where you sit yourself and order at the bar. Then you are given a number for your table when you order food. The staff are friendly, and it is a very relaxed place. They do not have TVs to distract you. Basically, it is a great bar to hang out and people watch.

Drinks: They have their own beers as well cocktails. This time I opted to order their sour beer they had on tap, Birrativo. It was a light session sour brewed with lemons. It was crisp and a refreshing drink. I have also had their Orange Pollinator before which is a great citrus wheat beer.

Menu: They do not have a large menu, as they do not have a full kitchen. They offer snacks, sandwiches, salads, and pizzas. We ordered a seasonal pizza that had sausage, mushrooms, and peppers. I like that it was a red sauce, and it was a great balance of toppings and cheese. It also paired well with beer! Dad ordered a cheesesteak that also was a delicious sandwich and paired well with beer lol.

Tips/Recommendations: I like to do during the warmer months or summer. They have great outdoor seating, and it makes for a great time with an ice-cold beer and some bar bites. I think the pizza is the way to order. It I delicious and a good balance or flavors and toppings. Plus, it goes well with their beers. I would recommend trying and ordering their seasonal specials because they are not always available. And as always, try something new every time you go!
