Animated Brewery (Coatesville, PA)

I love checking out new spots and new brewery. A plus when you don’t have to travel too far either! The most recent visit was to Animated Brewing Co.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This quaint brewery is tuck back off the main road in Coatesville. It’s hard to find if you’re not familiar with the area. But gives such a great neighborhood vibe with nice 2 different outdoor seating areas and full dining area inside. We opted to sit inside. There is a bar, tables, and high stops. It’s an open setting and you can even see the brew house side. They have 4 pinball machines to make the whole experience fun as well!  It is a traditional pub style place where you go to the bar to order your drinks.

Drinks: They offer a variety of their beers as well as some craft cocktails. I went with the SOKO, their lager. It was a nice crisp and refreshing beer. I did enjoy it, but I do look forward to trying more of their beers in the future

Menu: Food/Kitchen is run by Taste Buds on 82. They have a soul food inspired menu. A decent number of options that made it difficult to decide what to order. But they had catfish on the menu and that is one of my favorites. So, I had to order that. We also order the shrimp po boy to taste too. Both were fried to perfect and had create flavor. I preferred the catfish but would order both again. Had to taste their fresh cut fries. Though, not as crispy as I hoped being served in the takeout box. They were perfectly salty. The only thing missing was some malt vinegar LOL.  They also advertise their burgers and from pictures they look delicious too. So, I need to try more of the menu. I like that they offer take out, so that is another way to taste more of their menu items!

Tips/Recommendations: Of course, try it. If you are a lover of catfish like me, you cannot go wrong ordering any of their catfish items. It was so well prepared, and fresh. I think the fresh cut fries are delicious too! If you just want to try the food, order online with door dash. You can do pick up and pick up beers at the same time! And as always, try something new every time you go!
