Nikki’s Custard

I have seen Nikki’s Custard several times when seeing my parents. Mom and I always wanted to check it out. I think she tried to convince my dad as well – but had no such luck. So, this time around we had him stop to check it out!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This cute shop located on Oregon Pike has bright colors outside and inside! you can’t miss it. It is a small shop with one in and one way out. They have picnic table outside that is perfect for a summer treat! The staff are super friendly and explained everything on their menu to us since it was our first time!

Menu: The always have chocolate and vanilla custard and then 1 rotating flavor (weekly). This week was espresso chip. Then they have a dairy free option made with oat milk. Again, rotating flavors with this week being chocolate or mint (and a twist option). Lastly is the sorbet machine with rotating flavors, lemon or lime this week (and a twist option). They also provide samples – which is what sold us on the espresso chip LOL. The oat milk was good, but just not as creamy as the custard making it hard to pass up. They have several options, in a dish, milkshake or a rock solid. Which is essentially a milkshake blended without milk, like a DQ blizzard. They have a variety of toppings and sauces to add too. Mom went with the espresso chip in a cup with toppings and sauce. They make sure to insert the sauce in the custard so you can have some in every bite! I ordered the rock solid with espresso chip, chocolate sauce, Oreos, and Reese’s pieces. It was delicious mixed all together. I ordered a small, but it was super filling. I couldn’t eat it all at once. But it froze nicely for a treat later too! I would say they are reasonably priced. However, I would keep in mind the toppings are extra and they can add up quick! Lol

Tips/Recommendations: Try it of course! Follow them on social for their rotating flavors, specials, and staff’s favorite recipe. Don’t be afraid to ask for a sample if you cannot decide. I recommend the rock solid for sure! And as always, try something new every time you go!
