A chain Tex-Mex spot that’s both delicious and affordable! I have been here several times, but now I finally can share some content and do a full review … iykyk. After some shopping at the stores of main street, lunch was necessary and On the Boarder was the choice!
Ambiance/Atmosphere: On the boarder has a great Mexican/cantina vibe. The décor is like an outdoor patio with an open kitchen window. The smells drive you mad but get you in the mood for margaritas and chips LOL. They have high tops, tables, booths, and a great bar! Staff are friendly and welcoming. The bartender keeps the drinks flowing! It’s a perfect stop for an afternoon lunch, happy hour after work, dinner with the family, friend get together or a date night!

Drinks: They have a variety of beer, wine, cocktails and of course tequila and margaritas. They had a margarita flight (Mexico Flight)… so you know I had to order that. It came with 3 flavors: the OG, a strawberry and a mango flavor. They were bomb, a great balance of flavor and tequila. I think my favorite was mango, but I really enjoyed them all. I would definitely get it again (hoping they keep it around).

Menu: They over a wide variety of food and of course house made chips and salsa. Which are so addicting and hard to eat too many before your meal comes. Plus, they pair perfectly with margaritas LOL. I also like them a bit better than Chili’s as they offer more Tex-Mex and Mexican inspired combinations (not the bbq/chicken that Chili’s offers). It’s perfect for me who can never decide. I ordered a 3 combo platter with 1 pork carnitas, 1 cheese enchilada and 1 beef enchilada. I love that they are served with Mexican rice and refried beans. It was delicious, paired well with the marg flight. Apparently shopping made me hungry because I crushed it all with no leftovers. They had a dessert special of fried oreos … so this needed to be ordered for a sweet treat to end a wonderful meal! They came with a chocolate dipping sauce that made it the perfect pair. Check out their full menu here!

Tips/Recommendations: First – you need to check it out! Happy hour is a great time to start. Chips and salsa with drinks is a great starter. I recommend looking at specials and seasonal items before the leave the menu. Order a combination platter if you cannot decide. And as always, try something new every time you go!
