Michaelangelo’s (Downingtown, PA)

Do you have a go to takeout or door dash spot? Lately mine has been Michelangelo’s and I will share some of my favorites.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: I have been by to do take out and made a mental note to try eating in too. This cute spot has plenty of seating and a separate room for larger parties/rentals. But we will have to update you later for a full review the dine in (if/when that happens) lol.

Drinks: Again, I will need to provide more information once dining in, but they door have bottle drinks for takeout. I once had a 2 Liter soda delivery which was convenient and easy!

Menu: They menu is pretty big, but I will highlight what I have tried so far: pizza, subs, stromboli and pasta entrees. First up the pizza- I find that their pizza is the perfect balance of cheese, sauce and toppings. It’s cheesy, but not too much. I have tried several toppings. My favorite is mushrooms and sausage followed by the pepperoni. It makes the great Friday night dinner of game day grub! I have ordered the subs once. It was the perfect afternoon bite. Even better when delivered with a big bag of chips and a 2L of soda. Sub did hit the spot, topped with fresh veggies. But I must say I prefer their pizza more. Their stromboli is similar to the pizza but the Italian is like the hoagie LOL. It’s a pocket of hot hoagie fun! Or at least the Italian flavor was. I still think I prefer the pizza slightly more.

Lastly, the pasta entrees. Again, I only ordered once, but I would definitely order again as well as try it fresh for dine it. It’s a large order (enough for two meals). It comes with garlic bread (fresh, soft and garlicky) and a garden salad (your choice of dressing). The salad was super fresh. You can tell they took take to add and chop fresh veggies and toppings. I ordered the Fettuccine with Prosciutto & Cream Sauce. Though it came with spaghetti not fettuccini, it was still really good. The sauce was creamy but not overpowering. The prosciutto was salty and crispy. It was the perfect balance with the cream sauce. I know what to try more of the pasta entrees because they were not disappointing! Check out the full menu here.

Tips/Recommendations: They offer their own delivery, but not until later in the day. I have had lots of success with door dash so that would be another great option. Calling ahead for takeout is quick and easy as well. I highly recommend their pizza and pasta entrees. They are both surprisingly delicious and fresh for delivery. And as always, try something new every time you go!
