Holiday season means fun holiday drinks! This Thanksgiving, it was a bourbon cocktail; it was festive, strong and pretty freaking delicious if I say so myself.
We made these by the glass/per order, so we did measure them. Well, roughly measured them. Some rounds may have been heavier pours than other rounds LOL. Start with 2 oz. of your bourbon of choice. Mom had an old fashion made with Angels Envy, so that is what we decided to use. Next was ½oz. orange juice and 2 oz. cranberry juice. We combined this in a cocktail shaker and poured over a large cube of ice. I then serve with an orange slice. It was delicious, light and overall I give it a 8.5/10. It was a sipper cocktail that was perfect for the day.
If you want to make it by the pitcher here are the recommend measurements (but pour with your heart): 2.5 cups bourbon, 5oz. orange juice and 2.5 cups cranberry juice. Add your slices of orange in the pitch and keep chilled in the fridge and pour in a glass of ice. You do not want ice to water down your cocktail. What’s your favorite thanksgiving cocktail?
