Scallion Sauce

As mentioned scallions were bought at the Berwyn Farmer’s Market. They were pretty big and I was looking for ways to use them. First up was an Asian inspired scallion sauce!

It was super easy to put together. I also have used it on so many different dishes, items and even as a dipping sauce. I chopped the green onions. I took half of the chopped onions and sautéed them in a pan with sesame oil and sesame seeds. I like the crisp/brown on all sides. In a bowl I combined the following: 2 Tbsp. soy sauce, 1 tsp fish sauce, 1 tbsp. sesame oil, blacked pepper, white pepper and minced garlic (measure this with your heart). I then added the fresh chopped scallions and then the sautéed scallions. That is it!

It was delicious and a great addition to my favorite squiggle noodles from Trader Joe’s as well as mixed with a spicy vinegar to use as a dipping sauce. I made a bigger batch of this and decided to keep it on hand in the fridge whenever needed! Have you made a scallion sauce before? Share your favorite scallion sauce recipe below!
