Frogtown Cafe (Pequea, PA)

After a morning of checking out the Pinnacle Overlook (which I recommend adding to your next adventure) and a visit to Indian Steps Museum (again, another recommendation to add to your itinerary) lunch was necessary. Frogtown Café was close by and the choice was made!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: Frogtown looks like an older house from the front. But they have a bar, dining area and outside patio for eating. After a morning outside in the sun, cool AC was necessary at a table near the bar. They had a steady crowd of what seemed to be regulars for the lunch time. Bartenders were friendly and patient! It gave a small town vibe. The décor had various beer signs and taps that made it fun to check them all out!

Drinks: They offer a full bar service, with season specials and beers. After a morning outside in the sun, a nice cold corona premium was just what was needed.

Menu: They have a good selection of great bar food. Another instance where I wish I took a picture of the special menu, because I cannot remember what was ordered LOL. But we will review it as best we can remember! The first couple items are on the regular menu: Frogtown fries and the Haddock Poboy. The fries were cheese with bacon and ranch! They were hard not to keep eating. A Large was ordered and the left overs did reheat pretty nicely in the air fryer! They get an 8/10. The cheese sauce was a bit messy but delicious!

The Haddock Poboy was fresh and delicious! Lightly beer battered haddock served on a perfectly toasty yet soft roll with lettuce, tomato, onion and a house remoulade. It was so refreshing and a great summer sandwich! I give it a 9/10. The last sandwich was ordered of the special menu. It was a roast beef sandwich on a brioche bun with provolone cheese. Horseradish and a horseradish aioli served on the side. The beef was so tender and flavorful. It paired perfectly with the butter brioche bun. I enjoyed the aioli the best. I give this sandwich a 9/10 as well.

Tips/Recommendations: If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a try. Make a day out of it by visiting Pinnacle or the Indian Steps Museum. Order the specials while they’re on the menu! And as always, Try something new every time you go!
