On the Roll Food Truck

Brother’s on the Brandywine is a small beer garden in Coatsville featuring Kershner Brother’s Beer and several food trucks including: On the Roll. This was one of the best food trucks I have been to in a long time … I mean we did make 3 different stops/orders from them throughout the day LOL. It was a gorgeous day, sun was shining, but it wasn’t too hot as the trees provided great shade. It was the folk fest, though not the most folk music, it was great day full of live music. The beer garden had a great vibe and On the Roll provided the perfect meal pairings.

Over the course of the day we tried several items off their menu. Round one included the fish tacos and the mushroom melt. The fish were lightly breaded and fair fresh for food truck prep. They were the perfect afternoon outdoor bite. The mushroom melt was essentially a vegetarian cheese steak. The mushroom slices were sautéed perfectly, not too soft, with onions and peppers. Then it was topped with a melty beer cheese made with the porch ale.

Round two was my favorite round, crab fries. Battered French fries topped with fresh lumpy crab meat, seafood seasoning and cheese sauce. It was served with a lemon wedge. It made you feel like you were having the perfect beach bite without being at the beach.

Last round, was the hot dog with truffle fries. The truffle fries were the perfect bite. The hot dog paired very well too!

Overall it was a great day filled with good beer, live music and great food. I would recommend on the roll food truck as well as Brother’s on the Brandywine Beer Garden! It is a great summer stop to add to your list.
