Meta Cafe (Lambertville, NJ)

The last stop on the mini Lambertville tour was my favorite of all the places. So much so that I am contemplating just making a trip back just to go to Meta Café. This fun small café came up while searching places for breakfast as well as it is right next to More than Q. I also made the drooling mistake of looking at their Instagram, so it soon became a must try!

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This corner café gives a bit of a farmhouse vibe with the décor. A few small tables inside and high top deck seating right outside. It’s more of a take-out spot than a sit and enjoy. (Though that is exactly what we did!) The staff were friendly, welcoming and laid back. You can definitely tell it’s one big happy family with all staff and customers. They also make great recommendations and know their menu best.

Drinks: They offer bottled drinks and the coffee/tea variety. They also have seasonal specials offered. One of the seasonal flavored latte was lemon and the staff recommended ordered that iced. It was FIRE! Solid 11/10 and I would order again and again. The coffee was strong, not too bitter and still smooth. The lemon was just the perfect hint and was refreshing yet not over powering. I am still dreaming about it, but now look forward to trying more flavors.

Menu: As I mentioned their posts and Instagram were enough to draw me in but it also made it hard to decide what to order. They don’t have a huge menu, but it is one of those menus that you will not be disappointed what you order. They have a main menu, but then we were told to scan the QR code as they always have specials or new menu items they are testing out! The Jersey with sausage on a Philly muffin (everything bagel seasoning) and the prosciutto egg sandwich were ordered. Both were amazing. The prosciutto is freshly sliced per order and piled on the brioche bun. The gooey egg and arugula were the perfect combination. The rolls were freshly made and so delicious. Tips/Recommendations:  This is a MUST TRY; add it to your list now lol. They have online ordering, even if you are just doing a drive by. Make sure you check out the seasonal offerings and specials before they leave the menu. If you stop and are unsure of what to order than ask the staff what they recommend. I would recommend anything with the prosciutto. You will not be disappointed. And as always, try something new every time you go.
