Lambertville Station Inn (Lambertville, NJ)

It was a fun day exploring Lambertville and you need to end it with a great meal. Lambertville Station Inn was the selection.

Ambiance/Atmosphere: This cute spot has a great outdoor patio and bar with an oyster bar, indoor dining and a lower wine cellar bar. They were fairly busy with many guest and staff waiting on tables. But being seating by the window to people watch during the whole meal was a fun experience and let you escape some of the busy atmosphere around the other tables.

Drinks: They have a full bar wine beer, wine, liquor and cocktails. I don’t remember the name of my drink selection – but it was similar to a comso and was delicious! I would recommend.

Menu: Not a huge menu offering, but enough items to offer variety and to make you think. Started off with the tuna tartar. It pretty plated starter on a black slate plate. But it lacked taste and flavor. It did not compare to the fresh ceviche offered at El Tule or any of the other fresh ahi I have had before. I would not order again or recommend. For entrée, I decided to order the scallops and shrimp served over lobster risotto. I kid you not, when I say I cannot stop talking about how deliciously perfect the lobster risotto was. It was the complete opposite of the tuna tartar. It also paired and created the perfect bite with a piece of scallop and shrimp. I will continue to rave about it!

For dessert I was thinking of something light and fun. Affogato came to mind, but I was not in the mood for espresso. I saw on their list of dessert drinks, they had limoncello. I ordered that and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I then poured the limoncello over my ice cream for the perfect end to dinner. It was refreshing and sweet! See there menu here!

Tips/Recommendations: I would recommend going, but not a busy dinner time. It was not that amazing and I think you would have better dinner at The Hawke. However, I highly recommend the scallop, shrimp and lobster risotto if you go. Even if you order to go – you will not be disappointed. I think outside on their patio/oyster bar would be a great afternoon experience for some drinks and apps. They also do take reservations if you like to plan ahead. Any as always, try something new every time you go.
